New Monarchy and Benny & the Jets!

31 05 2007

Leave it to the Biz to give us this classic version of “Benny and the Jets” that we’ve been rocking in the office. The Diabolical can not hit the high notes, but he kills it. This cover version of Elton is so catchy we can not stop listening to it. We love the Biz, and we love Monarchy Clothing. Out of all of the brands we have carried, this brand has done the best for us. From shorts to thermals to t-shirts, this innovative trendsetter has been improving people’s fashion sense for a few years. They’re sort of like the Cialis of the Style Rocket stable. They’ve come back with a vengence this Spring season with a great variety of new designs that are fresh as hell.
Ed Hardy Hoody
We’re also digging of course the Ed Hardy Hoodies . These hoodies have it all: screen printed traditional tattoo designs, embroidered tattoo designs, and the Ed Hardy quality we’ve all grown to love. Ed Hardy has been on the scene for a while, but recently got some good press when Snoop Dogg got arrested at the airport for toting a gun (and I think he might have had some weed too) while wearing an Ed Hardy dress, I mean shirt. It seems like everyone is wearing it these days, even Larry King. I think that might be a stretch (hello Ed Hardy, you’re on the air….), because that old coot is probably sporting Depends behind that desk and a pair of Montgomery Ward penny loafers. At least that’s what Perez Hilton is saying, when he’s not getting sued for what ever the hell he talks about. I wanted to jump back into some music, as we’re listening to a lot of different things at the Rocket. We’re huge music fans and have been digging these artists and songs of late, in no particular.

King Coleman – The Boo Boo Song
Gary Wright – Dream Weaver…seriously
Amy Winehouse – Back to Black
Big Daddy Kane – Raw
Slayer – Angel of Death
Zombie Stompers – Demo
Fatback Band – Goin to See My Baby
Funkadelic – Maggot Brain
Big John Patton – Blue John
King Tubby Meets The Rockers Uptown

Ok kids, that’s all for today. We’ll be back tomorrow with some goodness.

Memorial Day Recap: New Style Rocket Items!

29 05 2007

Happy Memorial Day

We’re hoping that all you StyleRocket people had a great Memorial Day Weekend, enjoyed the extra day off to soak up some sun, take a trip, barbecue, and knock the top off of some frosty beverages. I know we all did. We’ve got some great stuff going on here at Style Rocket, and we’d like to share it all with you. If you’re wearing these:

Songe Bob Trunks to the beach, we have to help you out.

First off, let’s talk Modern Amusement. If you’re not up to date on your gear, (and you should be!), MA has been flying off the racks everywhere for the last couple of years. They are upping the ante this Spring and Summer season, with a lot of great T-Shirts, Flip Flops, and swim trunks, specifically these two pair: the Reversible Papaya Board Short and the Reversible Flair Dot Boardie . Modern is hot this season, so grab some of the goodness before it’s all gone!

Another brand that’s been killing it for us is Black Hearts Brigade. They have definitely come on strong this spring and are offering some great Shirts . From vintage looking, distressed, triple screened t-shirts, to enzyme dyed button ups, they are not to be missed.

Black Hearts Brigade 40 Leagues Shirt

We’re here to help, so check out Style Rocket everyday for more great products. This week we’ll have some new Ed Hardy tees and hoodies, as well as some special treats. See you around the web.
